Stylish and modern, the apartment is an extension of one of the oldest buildings in Stellenbosch. Tuishuisie offers ideal self-catering accommodation to the discerning traveller and corporate guest who require luxury and comfort in a private setting, while close to all amenities and attractions. Newly built as an addition to the declared National Monument, guests enter from the street level through what was used as a thoroughfare in earlier times.

The elegant living area optimises the use of light and space, with solid oak floors and large windows. Six French doors open up to a spacious patio with a wooden deck where you can lounge in the shadow of an enormous 200-year-old oak tree; one of the oldest oak trees in town. The living area includes an open-plan kitchen with seating for six as well as a comfy and funky couch, ideal for lazy afternoons or snug winter evenings in front of a Nordic wood-burning stove.

The trendy kitchen is well-appointed with a fridge, freezer, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, the usual electric appliances, and a dishwasher. In addition, a desk with generous lighting and lockable drawers is provided for the corporate client who may need working space.

All three bedrooms are en-suite and open up to private balconies with French doors. The main bedroom is upstairs and adjoins the living area, while the other two are downstairs and lead out of the main hallway. The bathrooms have heated towel rails and towels are provided. The washroom on the ground floor is equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities and provides storage for bicycles if needed.

Other features include air-conditioning and a flat screen television with DStv. The apartment has an extensive security system and entry control, and parking is provided on request. A daily cleaning service is available at an additional cost.
