Squirrel & Vine is an air-conditioned, self-catering apartment situated in the historical core of Stellenbosch, in nostalgic Herte Street. It offers ideal accommodation for the traveller who requires modern, comfortable luxury in a private setting in the heart of Stellenbosch.

The two-storey apartment building in which Squirrel & Vine is situated is called Die Pieke and it consists of 12 privately-owned apartments. Facilities at the apartment include a balcony facing Herte Street, one bedroom with an extra length queen-size bed, one single sleeper couch in the lounge, a fully equipped granite kitchen with a washing machine, fridge-freezer, oven, stove, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, coffee peculator, cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils. Linen and towels are also provided. Other features include air-conditioning, heaters, television with DStv and an electronic safe. The unit is situated inside a security complex and secure undercover parking is provided.

Oom Samie se Winkel is a mere 150 m from the apartment and the Stellenbosch Tourism and Information Bureau is just 250 m away. Numerous quaint coffee shops, excellent restaurants, museums and other historic sites are within walking distance. Squirrel & Vine is situated in the heart of Stellenbosch's tourist district - Herte Street is an oak-lined street which offers an ideal location from which to explore the town.

A fantastic place to stay

We were more than pleased with all of the facilities provided in the apartment. We loved sitting on the balcony in the morning sunshine when we had breakfast. Ideally located for touring all the wineries in and around Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at the Squirrel and Vine. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and had every comfort we needed. The position was convenient to many amenities and we will definitely use the Squirrel and Vine again next time we are in Stellenbosch. Oh, and I had the pleasure of watching some of the lovely little squirrels running up and down in the oak trees, as I enjoyed the early morning air on the balcony. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Totally enjoyed our 2 nights at S&V, just wish we had stayed longer. This place is just unbelievable value for money, and we would definitely stay there again if we return. If this place disappoints, then you really are being unrealistic!. Excellent location just a short stroll from main town centre but seconds away from a great bar and the fabulous Blue Orange Coffee Bar on Dorp Street. Stellenbosch is a lovely and vibrant little town and well worth a visit
